We've preserved the character of that era while adding every modern comfort. Enjoy extended-stay rooms and suites with full kitchenettes, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor pool, and The Officer's Club restaurant on-site. Just minutes from Sacramento International Airport, history has never been this easy to get to.
Originally built in 1939 as the Officer's Club on McClellan Air Force Base, the property was later transformed into the Lions Gate Hotel in Sacramento. Our campus preserves the base's historic charm while incorporating contemporary amenities.
Established in 1935 as the Pacific Air Depot and officially dedicated in April 1939, McClellan became a major logistics and aircraft maintenance hub during WWII and the Cold War. It employed up to 26,000 people and was the largest industrial employer in Northern California.
Now, McClellan Air Force Base is McClellan Business Park, featuring a diverse mix of companies, the Aerospace Museum of California, and Lions Gate Hotel and Officer's Club restaurant. McClellan Business Park stands as a successful conversion of a former military base in the country and a beacon of hope for future growth in the North Sacramento region.
